Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for Psychiatry & Psychotherapy Podcast and all other websites owned by Emotion Connection, LLC.  


As part of our services (CME activity, Podcast), we collect your username, password, name, information about your training, and email.  We use this information to provide you with the service you have requested. For example when you provide us your email to subscribe to our newsletter, we may send you a newsletter.  If you want there is a way to unsubscribe on the bottom of the email. We are currently using MailChimp as a way of storing and sending out emails.


When you purchase something from us, your payment information is submitted directly to the credit card processor “Stripe”, who is responsible for its use and security.  We do not maintain your credit card information.


If you correspond with us via email we may choose to retain your email, the content of your email and our responses.    


This program is for people age 18 years of age and older and if you are under 18 years of age then you must have a consenting parent(s) or guardian(s).   In particular, if you are under 13 years of age, you should not provide any personally identifiable information to any site on the Internet without the knowledge and permission of your parent or guardian. Minors between the ages of 13 and 17 must get the permission of their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before making purchases on, or subscribing to, this website.


We collect automatically your IP address to monitor for things agreed upon in our terms and conditions, help diagnose problems with our server, administer our website, and gather broad demographic information.  We use google analytics and automatically keep information which google analytics uses. Certain types of data are collected automatically from your web browser (IP address, browser types like firefox, chrome, ect) which we may also collect.  We may maintain logs of site usage for purposes such as to evaluate our users' interest level in areas of the website, which and how many pages they look at, how long they stay on the website, and what Web browsers are used. This data is tracked in aggregate form, not at an individual user level, and is not uniquely identifying. The aggregate level data may be shared with third parties and the public.


Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored on your computer.  Cookies are stored by google analytics and other third party companies we work with.   From time to time, we may use cookies to track usage patterns on our website, to deliver editorial content, and to record registration and personalization information.  If you don't want cookies you may look into ways of not accepting them (often by changing the settings in the preferences of your browser). We reserve the right to use aggregated anonymous data for purposes such as analyzing usage trends.  If you don't have your browser set to accept cookies, certain areas of the website may not function properly.



When you post or comment on an article we may record some of your information.   The materials you post on the website, such as articles, blog posts, directory information and comments, are made available to be seen and read by other users of the website. No such materials are treated confidentially. We will remove your materials from the website at your request, but we cannot give any assurances that such materials are not still available from servers maintained by others (such as search engines or proxy servers) or that others have not already downloaded and stored such materials.


We sometimes work with third parties in regard to processing of credit cards, maintaining email lists.  We at Emotion Connection, LLC will seek to require such parties to follow appropriate privacy policies. However we at Emotion Connection, LLC do not bear any responsibility for any actions or policies of third parties.  


Limitations. Though we make every effort to preserve your privacy, we cannot guarantee your privacy. Further, we may disclose personal information when required by law or where we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on us. We may also disclose personal information in cooperation with a law enforcement request.


Amendment. We reserve the right to change this policy in accordance with the amendment policy in the website’s Terms of Use.
